Hi, I'm Wendy

I'm from the Tulsa area and honored to be a therapist. I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. I completed my education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services as well as a Master’s degree in Social Work. I am currently Licensed in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in Oklahoma. I have spent many years working in the mental health field helping people and know it is the place for me.

My favorite groups of people to work with are adults and couples. I also prefer to meet virtually as it seems to be the most convenient for my clients. I have extensive knowledge about parenting and trauma, which can be helpful for many families.  I love helping people who struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, life changes, grief, ADHD (yes- adults suffer from it too!), complex or acute trauma, medical-related trauma, childhood trauma, abandonment, marriage issues, and other daily life stressors.  Sometimes, just being able to cope is a place to start, and that’s okay with me.  I am open to your needs and seek to always understand and provide a safe, trusting environment for my clients. I became a therapist to help people find hope and overcome the hard things in life. I would love to do that for you!

When I am not working, I enjoy doing various crafts, like painting, diamond art, crocheting, sewing, etc. I also enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two biological children and two children that we adopted as teens. We also have an extra spunky 5yo bonus child who is keeping us on our toes! She and our corgi, Cookie, are best buddies and stay very active, which often means they are pestering our two, older cats. An interesting fact about me is that I am originally from Colorado! I absolutely love to go visit as often as I can. I enjoy doing outdoor activities but do not like Oklahoma’s heat or humidity, so this means I usually just paint mountainscapes, despite my lack of wall space to hang any more up. However, I do enjoy spending time outside in the Spring and Fall!

My areas of focus include: PTSD, anxiety, depression, life changes, grief, ADHD, Self-Esteem issues, complex or acute trauma, medical-related trauma, childhood trauma, abandonment, marriage issues, daily life stressors, and coping methods.
