Hello, my name is Sarah Lewis
I am honored to have you here! I believe in the power of hope and healing when it comes to taking care of your mental health through counseling. I am a recent grad from Oral Roberts University with a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling. I am currently a candidate obtaining hours to become a Licensed Professional Counselor and honored to serve children and families in Oklahoma.
When I am not in the therapy room, engaging in imaginative play with my clients, I am cuddled up with my Australian Shepherd doggie, named Jasper or spending time with my husband watching The Office or Gilmore Girls. My Favorite season is fall and sometimes I wish I was in Stars Hollow drinking coffee at Luke's Diner. I enjoy a scenic campsite where I can sit by the fire and take in God’s beauty of nature, and I am always down to take a spontaneous road trip with zero itinerary, just scoping out the best local coffee shops. I also adore my friends and family, and my nephews and nieces are so very special to me!
I have a passion for working with young children and cultivating a therapeutic atmosphere where infant mental health is prioritized in this field. I have an attachment based lens when working with children and their caregivers, while walking alongside to empower families to learn skills to support children when big emotions are present. I also enjoy serving the adolescent and adult population, especially when integrating crafts and games into sessions.
Counseling, I believe, is a calling from God because He is my great Counselor. I lean upon His help when serving my clients from all different families, faiths, and personal backgrounds. Taking the first steps into a healing process is courageous and it is my desire to be a vessel for my client’s redemptive story, because all of our stories matter.
