Hi, I'm Jillian

In Latin, the name "Jillian" means "youthful" and I have come to terms with the fact that I completely live up to my name. Over the years my colleagues have described me as "spunky", "energetic" and "a breath of fresh air." I truly hold fun as one of my major core values in life, and believe that you're never too old to embrace the child within!

No matter if I'm working with adults, teenagers, or children, I will strive to incorporate activities that will challenge a client to learn new skills and grow as a person, while also encompassing a sense of play and whimsy. This may look like incorporating coping skills or mindfulness techniques into a game or activity with a child, making jewelry or vision boards with a teenager, or even painting on canvas during sessions with an adult. Therapy doesn't have to be all serious all the time, you know. 😉

My heart and soul as a therapist is to work with all ages, whether adolescents, teenagers, or adults, but I specifically feel empowered to work with the whole family, helping to heal strained relationships and grow secure attachments. My goal with any client is to create a space where they can feel emotionally safe to dig deep and go places emotionally where they may have never been before. I love to let my clients lead the conversation, and whatever they want to talk about or work through, I'm along for the ride! Some topics that I love to tackle with clients are: relationships with family members, body image, self-talk, anxiety, food allergies or restrictive diets, church-related trauma, dating, faith, identifying emotions and so much more.

Before joining the counseling team, I worked as a Family-Specialist at Circle of Care for two and a half years, offering support and resources to foster families around the Tulsa metro area. As a former foster parent myself, I understand the foster care system both from a parent AND worker perspective, and enjoy getting to continue to work with families affected by foster care. I graduated from OU-Tulsa in May 2025 with a Master's degree in Social Work and am currently under supervision in pursuit of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or LCSW. Outside of working with my incredibly resilient and brave clients in the therapy room, I enjoy going to thrift stores, snuggling with my orange tabby and elderly pup, singing and playing music, making homemade candles, refinishing furniture, spending time with friends, and watching sports.
