Faith and Community Engagement Manager

The Faith and Community Relations Manager is an integral part of the Development team and works under the direct supervision of the VP of Development. The right person for this position will have a humble spirit, a drive to achieve the goals set for the development team, and strong people skills. The Faith and Community Relations Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships and communication with churches, community organizations, and volunteers as well as providing collaborative support to programs agency-wide. This position requires the ability to travel within the state of Oklahoma at least 50% of work week, and regularly includes evening and weekend responsibilities.


● Actively nurture relationships with United Methodist Church partners, as well as church partners from other denominations through planned, regular face-to-face contact.

● Develop ongoing relationships with new church partners in strategic locations.

● Assist program teams across the state in developing relationships with local faith and community organizations.

● Participate collaboratively with Foster Care teams in foster parent recruitment.

● Serve with other Development team members on the Friends of Children Banquet committee.

● Oversee development and coordination of community volunteers for programs (Foster Care, Pearl’s Hope, PAL, and Parent to Parent) as well as for annual events (Banquet, Christmas parties, etc.)

● Meet specific goals for scheduling speaking engagements for Circle of Care staff around the state and speak at churches and community organizations upon request at least 2 times per month.

● Meet specific goals for meeting with church partners in each area Circle of Care serves.

● Help coordinate and participate in monthly Help, Healing, and Hope tours in strategic locations around the state.

● Collaborate regularly with communications and donor relations staff on overlapping relationships and tasks.

● Other community, development, and programmatic duties as assigned.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments from a variety of staff and volunteers.

● Experience in or some knowledge of church environments and governance structures.

● Maintain a willingness to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the agency; regular evening and weekend work required

● Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to learn additional software, including Bloomerang CRM.

● Capable of lifting heavy objects of up to 20 pounds

● Must be at least 21 years of age

● Bachelor’s degree preferred; significant work experience can substitute for the degree.

● Intermediate level proficiency using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; email and web searches.

● Pass a thorough background check (including fingerprinting), Department of Transportation check, pre-employment physical, and drug test as required by the Department of Human Services.

● Possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and a good driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $36,000.00 per year
