OKC Resource Family Development Director

At Circle of Care we are committed to providing great foster homes for children across Oklahoma. Circle of Care (CoC) is seeking a Resource Family Development Director who is responsible for providing overall leadership, support, training, and supervision of Foster Care staff to include, Certification Specialists and RFA Contract Manager. The Resource Family Development Director works closely with foster care staff to guide and direct their skills and abilities to successfully meet their employment responsibilities.

Provides direct oversight to the foster care certification team and foster family development which involves: training of foster parents, supervision of certification team, policy, and supervision of staff.

  • Addresses information requests from prospective foster parents and follows up with the request.
  • Acts as part of the Foster Care Leadership Team.
  • Participate in the recruitment and ongoing educational support of foster families.
  • Participates in weekend on-call rotation for placements and supervisor on call.
  • Completes OKDHS Pipeline call monthly with RFP staff.
  • Participates with State Director in teaching Foster Parent (FP) Orientation monthly.
  • Serves as coordinator of FP Virtual Support Group.
  • Serves as the direct supervisor to the Resource Family Assessment (RFA) Contract Manager.
  • Reads and approves Resource Family Assessments when RFA Contract Manager is out.
  • Responsible for the certification of new foster families in close supervision with certification team.
  • Conducts internal audits of new homes according to agency quality assurance standards.
  • Performs all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Circle of Care policy, and COA standards.

  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledgeable about the Oklahoma Foster Care system.
  • Motivated to grow the Foster Care program.
  • Knowledgeable in the certification process for foster families.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Education: Master’s degree in social work or other social service field preferred. Bachelor’s degree and 9 credit hours in family focus, individual function and interactions, child development, sociology, social work, and/or a closely related subject.
  • At least five years of experience in the child welfare field, with 2 years of supervision duties.
  • Pass a thorough background check (including fingerprinting), Department of Transportation check, pre-employment physical, drug test as required by Department of Human Services
  • Possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and a good driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38,500.00 – $45,000.00 per year
