Circle of Care, Asbury United Methodist Church and the Potts Family Foundation are partnering to host a one-day Resilience Conference in Tulsa on May 17, 2018. Attendees will learn about the effects of adverse childhood experiences on health and social outcomes, as well as prevention and intervention strategies for working with children from difficult backgrounds.
This conference is designed for child caring professionals, foster and adoptive parents, clergy, lay leaders working with children, and parents of children who have experienced trauma.

Program: 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. .

Featuring a special screening of the one-hour film Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope (View Trailer on YouTube). and guest speakers Keith Howard (President/CEO of Circle of Care), Mary Anne McCaffree, MD (Neonatal Perinatal Medicine, Department of Pediatrics University of Oklahoma), and Jennifer Hays-Grudo, PhD (Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, OSU Center for Health Sciences and Director of the Center for Integrative Research on Childhood Adversity, OSU).
A light lunch of sandwiches and chips will be served. Attendees are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch. There will not be time to leave the campus for lunch. Coffee, tea and water will also be available.
